An excellent TV broadcast recording from U2's Berlin concert during the October tour. The video and audio quality is excellent considering that it was recorded in the early eighties. Only thing worth mentioning is that the video is a bit dark because of suboptimal lightning for the TV cameras. Audiowise, the guitar and the vocals sound slightly distorted during some songs (e.g. "Rejoice"). More irritating is that the band and the audience do not connect at all during that show which frustrates Bono more and more in the course of the concert.

A pro-shot of a 1980 Belfast concert. The video quality is mediocre: The colours are blurry and the shapes are not well defined, most likely because of the videotape used for transfer was of a higher generation. Anyway, the four songs provide a vivid impression of the raw energy of an U2 show in the early eighties.

A broadcast recording of a TV appearance in mid '82. The video and sound quality leaves something to be desired. The video is only black and white and appears washed out. The audio quality is hampered by a strong hiss in the background. There are definetly better versions of this short gig in circulation.

Another TV appearance from 1982. U2 play a three song set, including the last performance of "With A Shout" so far (which is phased out during the last chorus). Video quality is mediocre: again, the colours are washed out and the picture is frequently distorted. Also, it is very dark, making it difficult to detect even the faces. The audio quality leaves something to be desired, too: A strong hiss is audible in the background and the recording lacks clarity and crispness to some extent.
