The sound on this recording starts out bad but improves gradually during the first few songs as the taper seems to adjust his setup. Bono's voice becomes more and more prominent and the balance between higher and lower ends improves (during "Streets" the sound is very muffeled). The venue's acoustics leave a lot to be desired (arena sound, echo). Audience is audible but not very intrusive. There is a hiss in the background but it never becomes too prominent. A nice find for somebody looking for rare Joshua Tree concerts on CDR.
