This recording is an upgrade to the torrented Vertigo Auf Schalke version. Still, the recording suffers from the massive echo but the Arena Auf Schalke venue has an absolutely inferior acoustics as I experienced by myself on a couple of concerts. Clarity and crispness are given but of course not excellent because of the echo (vocals are not drowned per se but it is sometimes hard to understand what Bono says because of the echo). The low end is missing to some extent. Some clappers close to the taper can be heard very prominently at the beginning of the songs but they usually stop soon or get drowned out by the music. During some quiet songs like "Running To Stand Still" a lot of distant cheers, whistles and hollers are audible coming from all over the arena.
